Demon Slaughter Demon Slaugher centers on the exploits of a cold-blooded mobster named Jimmy for the first part and suddenly turns into a full-scale zombie bloodbath towards the latter part. Inspired in part by the mega-action indie film Ravage by Ronnie Sortor, Demon Slaughter holds its own as a solid, well-built and unique horror film. This one's not to be missed! Jimmy (played by Adam Berasi) is a violent and hateful mobster with absolutely no respect for human life. Apparently his new boss "Little Joey" (Dr. Bill Wittman) recently took over "the family" and expects more money for his crime services so Jimmy tapes a gun behind his back and strolls into the local bar for a Ravage style showdown. In retaliation "Da Boss" sends his thugs to bust a cap in Jimmy's sexy wife (Shannon Johnson) and as you can imagine this makes the whole situation much worse for both sides. But hold on! Just when you think you know what's going to happen next, it doesn't. Demon Slaughter takes a serious turn into the supernatural when the pissed-off Jimmy ventures to the family cabin in the woods and zombies come pouring out of the brush from all directions. Soon Jimmy discovers that Hell really is on earth! Demon Slaughter is an independent production where extreme creativity abounds in terms of special effects and prop use. In the behind-the-scenes segments the viewer is treated to tips on how to make Italian-style melon heads for crushing in addition to numerous low-budget techniques that work as well as the big boys, most likely because they're not all CGI. Accented by several digital effects by Larry Adlon of Laer Digital Works and featuring music by Keith Hammer, Gene Michael Productions, Living With Demons and Blitzkid, Demon Slaughter is a well done zombie action movie. Don't miss Peter Blessel from Dead Body Man as both a thug and the strange red demon or Eric Lane from Serial Killer as the silent but cocky bar thug. Also worthy of note are the segments featuring Max the Prophet (Massimiliano Cerchi) and a maggot-mouthed zombie played by none other than freestyle special effects guru Jason Senior himself. Considering the sheer ruthlessness of the lead character Jimmy, our favorite actor from this movie is Vic "Satan" Badger. Satan may not really be the way to go in life but he certainly makes for a great film personality! - Review from Screaming Stoner Video Review Produced: 2004
