David C. Hayes is an award-winning writer, actor and producer. He is the author of Vampegeddon and numerous other films including Back Woods, Blown, Riverdead, Shower of Blood and more. He has starred in genre classics like Machined, Motorman: Machined 2, Death Factory: Bloodletting and Sportkill among 30 others. His book Muddled Mind: The Complete Works of Ed Wood Jr. has been in print for almost 10 years and his comics, like Rottentail (2009 from Arcana), Serial, and Macabre are comic shop staples. He currently teaches screenwriting, film production and acting at Grand Canyon University, Glendale Community College and The Academy of Cinema & Television in Phoenix, AZ.

Become A Vampire Contest Rules

Terms and Conditions: Contestants must thoroughly read and understand all the rules below before participating. Failure to adhere to these terms and conditions will void any tickets purchased.

Contestant refers to anyone who has purchased one or more raffle tickets.

Winner refers to the contestant selected by random drawing from the tickets to receive the prizes described below.

Production refers to the filmmakers organizing this contest.

• Contestants must be legal adults, 18 years or older, US Citizens, and live in the contiguous 48 United States.
• Each $10 ticket purchased is a single entry in the raffle. There is no limit to the number of tickets that may be purchased, but all tickets are non-refundable.
• The contest deadline is 11:59PM Thursday, November 20th, 2008. The drawing will be held on the morning of Friday, November 21st, 2008 and the Winner will be contacted immediately. If the Winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours a new Winner will be drawn.
• There must be at least 100 tickets purchased for Prize B to be awarded. If 100 tickets are not purchased by the deadline then a Winner will be drawn for Prize A, and it will be the responsibility of the Winner to cover travel and accommodation costs.
• The Winner will be awarded “Prize A” in the conditions outlined as follows:
  • The Winner will be awarded the role of “Reincarnated Vampire” in the feature film Vampegeddon.
  • The role of “Reincarnated Vampire” is a non-paying role.
  • The Winner must be available to the Production from Friday, December 12th, 2008 through Monday, December 15th, 2008.
  • The Winner will be required to sign image release forms as well as liability waivers before they may accept the prize.
  • The Winner is required to send photographs and measurements, to be used for make-up and wardrobe purposes, before they may accept the prize.
  • The Winner will be required to wear make-up and wardrobe while participating in the film. This may include, but is not limited to, hair appliances, facial appliances, contact lenses, and prosthetic teeth. They may also be sprayed with blood… a lot of blood.
  • The Winner can decline to participate at any time prior to Wednesday, December 10th, 2008, and will not be held responsible for missing the shoot.
  • The Winner, upon participating in the film, is guaranteed screen time in the final cut of the film.
  • Prize A is non-transferable without the express consent of the Production. Prize A retains zero cash value upon award.
• Upon the number of tickets purchased exceeding 100 then the winner will be awarded “Prize B” in the conditions that are outlined as follows:
  • The Winner will receive travel and lodging accommodations chosen and paid for by the Production.
  • The Winner must be available to the Production from Friday, December 12th, 2008 through Monday, December 15th, 2008.
  • The Winner will be flown out of the closest major airport to their home and into Phoenix Sky Harbor airport. The Winner must be willing to travel to the closest major airport at their own expense.
  • The Winner will receive chauffer service by the Production to and from the airport, set, and their lodging while in Phoenix.
  • The Winner will receive one night of lodging per 24 hour period of participation in the film. The accommodations are to be chosen by the Production. The Winner reserves the right to refuse accommodations without further compensation.
  • The Winner will receive, per day of shooting, one meal on set with the cast and crew, as well as a $30 per diem to cover additional meals. The Winner reserves the right to refuse the on set meal without further compensation.
  • The Production will not cover any additional costs for parents, spouses, children or any “significant others” to accompany the Winner. If the Winner chooses to have a “significant other” accompany them it is at their own cost.
  • The Winner has the right to have one “significant other” accompany them to the set, on the condition that this “significant other” signs image release forms and liability waivers.
  • Prize B is non-transferable without the express consent of the Production. Prize B retains zero cash value upon award.
• The Production reserves the right to cancel the raffle at any time, without notification.
• The Production reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time, without notification.
